We are excited to announce that Practical Farmers of Iowa — along with the Center for Rural Affairs, Healthy Harvest of North Iowa and Northeast Iowa Food and Farm Coalition — has been awarded a grant of nearly $578,000 through the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program (BFRDP). A new brewery will open in Calmar this week.
PIVO Brewery and Blepta Studios will be opening their doors on Wednesday. The brewery and art studio are located at 101 Huber Drive, on the north side of Calmar and will be owned and operated by Craig and Sara Neuzil. Continue reading
