Garden Pumpkin Muffins

The Postville Cooking Club baked pumpkin muffins using the pie pumpkins they harvested from the school garden this Fall.

 

The Postville 4-H Garden Club transitioned to Cooking Club for the late Fall and Winter months. The elementary-aged students harvested 212 pounds of pie pumpkins from the school garden in September, and the Postville kitchen staff steamed and froze the squash for the school lunch program. Students enjoyed using the vegetables they tended all Summer and Fall in a sweet treat this November.
