Hello Food and Fitness Friends!
My name is Shanna Putnam Dibble, and I am excited to join the Food and Fitness early childhood team as a summer assistant. I will be creating resources for Farm to Preschool Programs and sharing early childhood stories and information through this blog.
I am excited for the opportunity to work with Food and Fitness because I am passionate about early childhood education and helping young children develop healthy lifestyles. My daughter, Andria (Andi), is turning two this summer, and I am looking forward to showing her the wonderful food and fitness opportunities across Northeast Iowa and sharing these experiences with you. Through this blog we will be exploring ways to get fit and have fun! I will share upcoming events, places to visit, resources, and tips for supporting healthy kids and families.
Since this is my first blog, I would like to introduce myself. I have been an early childhood teacher for the past six years, and next year I will be taking on a teacher leadership role as an elementary learner advocate for the Decorah Community School District.
I enjoy volunteering, traveling, playing sports, and most of all spending time with my family (see photos below). I live in Decorah with my husband Andrew, our daughter Andi, and our two dogs. We love reading together, playing, doing art projects, and being active in the outdoors. Andi loves trying out new parks, going for walks and jogs, and feeding trout at the local fish hatchery.
Please enjoy this blog and our weekly adventures as we explore food and fitness across Northeast Iowa!
