It’s November – what does that mean for Decorah students? Wellness Wednesdays of course!

Wellness Wednesdays is an after school program put on by Decorah high schoolers for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade and hosted at John Cline Elementary. This is my second time being the supervisor for Wellness Wednesdays and it is so surprising what a difference a year makes! This time around, I know better how to support my high school students as well as manage massive quantities of younger kids, keeping them safe and in control (for the most part). This year, we have a total of 75 elementary school students joining us – such an awesome turn out!

Simon has been taking charge this year and with help from Maddy (and all the other high schoolers), they have been running a great program where both big kids and little kids have a great time being active in the gym, playing games, and eating healthy snacks.
