After months of planning, the North Winn Wellness Fair was officially a success!
There were a wide range of booths including a hand washing station, information onsmoking cessation, as well as the always-popular bike blender.
Students also were in charge of their own booths, which add an extra element of fun. 2nd graders made trail mix and have an interactive display with iPads – I was quite impressed! 3rd graders were busy teaching everyone the harmful effects of BPA, while 4th graders were offering their granola we had made earlier in the day. 5th graders did their booth on the importance of sleep and were offering visitors caffeine-free beverages.
I was so impressed by the turn out from parents and teachers! We were consistently busy from 3:30 to 5 and everyone had fun participating. I even heard a, “This is so fun! Can we do this again next month?!” Which to me is the sign of a successful event!
P.S. A special shout out to Andrea Homstad and Carole Sand from North Winn for being so helpful and full of ideas. Also thanks to Felicia and Paige for helping me run booths and manage kids!
